Message: “Keep It Simple” Rev. Michael McNamara
According to Luke, Jesus' ministry begins with John the Baptist, who was preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. Jesus, in essence, takes up this mantle, but instead of baptizing with water, Jesus baptized with Holy Spirit and fire. It should not surprise us then, that, according to Luke, when Jesus passes the mantle onto the disciples, he uses similar language, encouraging them to preach repentance for the forgiveness of sins. This phrase very much bookends Jesus' ministry and offers something like a thesis statement for following Christ. So what does it mean to us today, how do we keep it central to all that we do?
Our church is open and welcome to all! We get to share in the adventure of worshiping our God and gathering as the Body of Christ in-person and virtually.
