An Introduction to the Gospel of Matthew

Beginning September 15, we’ll offer a six-session study of the Gospel of Matthew and its distinctive portrait of Jesus as the promised King and Messiah. This will be in homes.

Together we’ll explore the unique contributions of the Gospel of Matthew, beginning with Matthew (Levi), the Jewish tax collector, and how Matthew presents Jesus as the promised King and Messiah who fulfills Old Testament prophecies and is the Savior of all. We’ll look at Matthew as a Gospel written for a Jewish audience and its many references to the Old Testament, followed by the Sermon on the Mount, the Kingdom of Heaven and the End of the Age, the parable of the Sheep and the Goats, and the Great Commission—the Gospel for all nations.
